
QUEZON CITY, July 8, 2025 — In line with its intensified campaign against illegal drugs and in compliance with the directive of the Regional Director NCRPO, PMGEN ANTHONY ABERIN, the QCPD under the leadership of PCOL RANDY GLENN SILVIO, DDDA/OIC, reported the successful arrest of a drug peddler and the confiscation of more than Php2 million worth of shabu earlier today.
According to the report of Batasan Police Station 6, led by PLTCOL ROMIL AVENIDO, the suspect was identified as alias “Zakaliya,” 54 years old, and a resident of Taguig City. He was apprehended through a buy-bust operation conducted in coordination with PDEA-NCR at around 2:00 AM of July 8, 2025, along Commonwealth Avenue, Barangay Batasan Hills, Quezon City.
During the operation, a police officer acted as a poseur-buyer and was able to buy Php160,000 worth of shabu from the suspect. Upon execution of the pre-arranged signal, the operating team immediately arrested the suspect.
Confiscated from his possession were 350 grams of shabu valued at Php2,380,000.00, one (1) Vivo cellular phone, one (1) Penshoppe sling bag, two (2) brown paper bags, one (1) brown wallet containing several ID cards, Php500 cash, one (1) unit Ford Ranger vehicle, and the buy-bust money.
The suspect will be charged for violation of Republic Act 9165, otherwise known as the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002.
