QUEZON CITY, July 28, 2025 — The Quezon City Police District (QCPD) Director for Administration and Officer-In-Charge, PCOL RANDY GLENN SILVIO, reported that the security coverage during the State of the Nation Address (SONA) 2025 of His Excellency, President Ferdinand “Bongbong” Marcos Jr., held today, July 28, at the House of Representatives, Batasang Pambansa Complex, Batasan Hills, Quezon City, concluded peacefully and orderly.

Based on coordinated monitoring efforts, an estimated 4,000 individuals participated in various protest actions near St. Peter Parish along Commonwealth Avenue. Remarkably, no untoward incidents, arrests, or confrontations occurred between the rallyists and police personnel.

“This was made possible through the cooperation of protest leaders who strictly followed our security protocols. All protest activities were conducted peacefully, in accordance with Batas Pambansa Blg. 880 (BP 880). We sincerely thank them for their understanding and discipline, which greatly contributed to the smooth and safe conduct of the SONA,” PCOL SILVIO said.

He further expressed gratitude to the personnel involved stating, “I would like to extend my heartfelt appreciation to all our police officers, force multipliers, partner agencies, and stakeholders who remained on the ground, rain or shine, to ensure public order and safety throughout the event. Their unwavering commitment and professionalism were instrumental in the success of our security operations.”

PCOL SILVIO also highlighted the importance of inter-agency coordination and leadership in the success of this year’s deployment.

“We owe the success of our peace and order operations to the collaborative and unified efforts of all agencies and security units involved. With the guidance of CPNP, PGEN NICOLAS TORRE III, and RD, NCRPO, PMGEN ANTHONY ABERIN, our Public Safety and Security Operations for SONA 2025 were carried out smoothly, safely, and effectively,” he emphasized.
