Quezon City, July 27, 2025 — The Quezon City Police District (QCPD), under the leadership of PCOL RANDY GLENN SILVIO, is all set to ensure peace and order for the 4th State of the Nation Address (SONA) of His Excellency, President Ferdinand Romualdez Marcos Jr., on July 28, 2025.
A total of 3,585 QCPD personnel will be deployed to ensure public safety and security during the event, and will be supported by other PNP units and various civilian organizations. The skeletal deployment of all Sub-Task Units (STUs) began on Saturday, July 26, with continuous accounting and inspection of deployed personnel. This will be followed by the full deployment on Monday, July 28, to ensure maximum police presence and operational readiness in all key areas.
To enhance preparedness and coordination, inter-agency meetings, walkthrough inspections, and simulation exercises have been conducted. These covered crowd control, emergency response, traffic management, and threat mitigation protocols to ensure seamless operations and a peaceful event.
In addition, the Multi-Agency Coordinating Center (MACC) has been established at QCPD Hinirang Social Hall, serving as the central hub for real-time monitoring and coordination among participating agencies.
QCPD has also ensured the availability of 1,910 logistical resources, including mobile patrol units, communication equipment, barricades, and first aid teams. Strategic checkpoints and border control points will be manned to regulate the movement of people and vehicles entering designated security zones.
Meanwhile, PCOL SILVIO said, “Our goal is to ensure a safe and orderly environment for everyone during the President’s SONA. We are mobilizing all resources and working closely with partner agencies to secure the area and respond to any potential threats.”
The QCPD urges the public to remain vigilant, cooperate with authorities, and immediately report any suspicious activities through emergency hotline 911 or the QC Helpline 122.##
