
QUEZON CITY, June 8, 2025 – The Quezon City Police District (QCPD), under the leadership of PCOL RANDY GLENN G SILVIO, DDDA/OIC, recorded the arrest of 207 individuals during its weeklong anti-criminality and anti-illegal drug campaign conducted from June 1 to 7, 2025.
In its intensified campaign against illegal drugs, a total of 54 operations were conducted, leading to the arrest of 79 drug suspects and the confiscation of Php904,036.00 worth of shabu.
Meanwhile, through its continuous manhunt operations, 74 wanted individuals were successfully apprehended, which includes 35 Most Wanted Persons (MWPs) and 39 Other Wanted Persons (OWPs).
Notable arrests include:
Alias “Geraldine” who was served with a Warrant of Arrest (WOA) by the Criminal Investigation and Detection Unit (CIDU) for violation of Presidential Decree No. 969 in relation to Article 201 of the Revised Penal Code (Immoral Doctrines, Obscene Publications and Exhibitions, and Indecent Shows), after evading arrest for 13 years.
Alias “Jeffrey” was served with a Warrant of Arrest for Attempted Theft by operatives of Novaliches Police Station 4, following eight years in hiding.
Alias “Mark Anthony,” listed as No. 6 at the District Level and No. 6 Most Wanted Person of Project 6 Police Station 15, was served with separate WOA by CIDU for Carnapping and by PS 15 for Robbery, after six years of eluding authorities.
Alias “Roberto” was apprehended by the Batasan Police Station 6 for violation of Republic Act No. 9262 or Violence Against Women and their Children, after five years in hiding.
The respective courts of origin of the Warrants have been duly notified of these arrests.
In its campaign against illegal firearms, two operations were conducted, resulting in the recovery of four firearms and the arrest of four individuals.
Additionally, 30 anti-illegal gambling operations were carried out, resulting in the arrest of 50 individuals and the confiscation of Php16,656.00 worth of bet money.
Charges have been filed before the Quezon City Prosecutor’s Office, including violations of R.A. 9165 (Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002), P.D. 1602 (Illegal Gambling), and R.A. 10591 (Comprehensive Firearms and Ammunition Regulation Act).
